The University of Gold Coast has successfully secured professional recognition for its postgraduate programmes through a strategic partnership with the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), UK. This landmark arrangement provides our students with the opportunity to graduate with not just an academic qualification but also a globally recognised professional award in leadership and management.

At the heart of this arrangement is a process known as mapping. Mapping involves a detailed review of our programme modules and assessments against the learning outcomes of CMI’s Level 7 Strategic Management and Leadership Practice framework. Where our existing modules are shown to fully meet CMI’s requirements, students automatically qualify for the corresponding CMI unit. In practice, this means that students who successfully pass selected modules on their degree pathway can also claim a CMI Level 7 Certificate in Strategic Management and Leadership Practice (7C30)—without sitting additional exams or completing extra coursework
